Kindergartens closed

OK v. study (pronounced oh-k)

All 488 kindergartens in Sarawak will be closed for two weeks with immediate effect to stop the spread of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD).

Notes to parents with young children: What are the HFMD symptoms?

(1) Reduced appetite for solids
(2) Fever
(3) Sore throat
(4) Sores and ulcers in mouth
(5) Rash and blisters, often rashes are found on buttocks

PRACTISE GOOD HYGIENE AND GOOD HAND CLEANSING.

Treatment is supportive. This is a viral illness, and hence the best cure is PREVENTION!
