Life as a blogger (have pity on us)

Life as a blogger can be tough, innit? Regular updates, shameless self-promo, being unnecessarily controversial, painfully narcissistic, oh, the list could go on.

But before you shed your crocodile tears for us... here are more reasons to hate us:

(1) The Christians have their bibles, Hillary Clinton has Bill, Barisan Nasional have RTM/The Star/NST, we bloggers have cameras...

E-V'RY-WAY-WE-GO... you will see us snapping away, obliviously, at absolutely anything. If you ever spot anyone habitually take pictures of their food before eating them, 9 times out of 10, you have spotted a blogger.

(2) When there is a crowd, we will be there. Rain or shine, if there is a gathering of souls, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be at least one blogger amongst them. We are an annoyingly curious bunch of creatures. We are.

Here's me, attending an election rally two nights ago. I wasn't really listening to those politicians, the crowd were far more interesting.

(3) We have an eye for weirdness. If we saw a monkey playing a banjo and simultaneously pick-pocketing onlookers, we have found our GOLD. We would probably take the monkey home, shelter it and feed it and call it honey or something similarly affectionate. We would not give it back to Zoo Negara or Bukit Aman Police Station in a million years. That monkey is our endless blogging material. A blogger's holy grail indeed.

(4) We are more virulent than syphillis. We go where other bloggers go and we stay magnetized to them. And we multiply like aliens in those alien sequel movies. That never die. Ever.

(5) We have to constantly write, because without us, the Earth will not spin and life stops. And yes, we are always right.
